基金简介

“乐投娱乐•基金”于2008年6月7日 成立，是由前人大副委员长成思危创立的、现人大副委员长陈昌智领导的、中共中央统战部主管的全国性公募基金会--中华乐投娱乐工程扶贫基金会下属的专项基金。乐投娱乐•基金由全国青联常委、民建北京市委常委成卓联合雅典奥运会冠军、蛙泳皇后罗雪娟、李婧、田亮、文化部副部长王文章、著名书法家王镛、著名小提琴家薛伟等人共同发起，因罗雪娟将北京奥运会中国第一棒火炬赠予该基金而定名。宗旨是：授人以渔，即通过募集善款，帮助灾区及贫困地区的妇女儿童掌握技能，自强自立，并将爱心的火炬不断地传递下去。

Torch of Love Fund

 E           Establishedin June, 2008, the “Torch of Love Fund” is a subsidiary under China Siyuan Poverty       Alleviation Foundation, a national public foundation founded by Mr.Cheng Siwei, former Vice Chairman of the National People‘s Congress and led bypresent Vice Chairman Mr. Chen Changzhi. It was named after the first torch of Beijing 2008 Olympic Game donated by the carrier Ms Luo Xuejuan-- former       Olympic Champion. 

ChinaSiyuan Poverty Alleviation Foundation is one of the 12 charitable organizationsthat are licensed to raise public fund to help    the disaster-striking areas, andthe only one Foundation among the 12 to be granted the award as the “NationalHeroic Organization” by the State Council in October 2008.

Its mission is to raise donations to help women and children in disastrous and poverty stricken areas  to learn skills and be self-sufficient. 

The Fund’s first project, “ Rose of Love Valley”, helps the women in Sichuanto grow Damascus        roses which will provide them a lifelong environment friendly industry and change it to the world’s largest center for Damascus rose plantingand essential oil extraction, and a new world tourist attraction.  It will    create jobs for hundreds of thousands poor people. From 2010, thefamous actress Zhou Xun，as its       honorary director and singer Zhou Huajian, as the volunteer ambassador “ Rose Knight”, fully support the Fund and its Rose of Love Valley project.  Mr. Zhou has donated 1 million RMB to sponsor200 mu of    Rose of Love Garden.

The next project the Fundwill implement is that to help rural and poor area set up internet classroom.  Thru E-learning technology,it will solve the problem of teacher shortage in schools of those area and        give those children an equal opportunity to learn up-to-date knowledge and skills.
